Police Use Dispersal Powers

Harborough Police say they will use Dispersal Zone powers again if they feel they are needed.

They came into force on Friday night in response to on-going problems of anti-social behaviour by some youths in Kibworth.

Officers were able to order people away from designated areas for a 12-hour period, including both parks, School Road, Smeeton Road and High Street, if they were causing or likely to cause problems.

Failure to comply would have resulted in arrests of under 16s taken home to parents.
