Police Conduct ‘Knife Sweeps’ In Local Parks

Searches are taking place for discarded knives in local parks as part of a week of action aimed at tackling knife crime.

Police Cadets have been working with Police officers at a number of locations, including Market Harborough, Kibworth and Fleckney.

The ‘knife sweeps’ are one part of Leicestershire Police’s work in support of Operation Sceptre, which are also including anti-social behaviour patrols.

No knives or other weapons have been found so far during the searches.
