Police Chief To Meet Villagers

The Commander of Harborough Police is meeting villagers in Ullesthorpe later following concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour.

Insp Siobhan Gorman will be visiting various areas on a patch-walk from 4pm and will also be joined by a representative from the Office of the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner.

Over 1200 people have joined an Action Group calling for more Policing resources in the Lutterworth area after it was launched last month.

Officers held a ‘street briefing’ during an operation in Lutterworth last week

Those behind the group say they have been ‘delighted’ with the increase in Patrols in the area since then.

The timetable for this afternoon’s event is:

4pm – The Bridle Way at the rear of Mere Lane Travellers site,
5pm – Palmers Garden Center
6pm – Near to the Post Office in Ullesthorpe

Insp Gorman will also be at the Lutterworth Town Council meeting at 7pm on Tuesday January 22nd to update people on the work that has been taking place and take any questions.
