Police Checks Find Over 20 Dangerous Vehicles

Over 20 vehicles were found to be in a dangerous condition when stopped during a Police operation on the outskirts of Market Harborough.
Officers teamed up with the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency to carry it out on the A6 and Prohibition Notices were issued to drivers, including for serious mechanical faults.
Three vehicles were also seized because they were not taxed or insured.

Leicestershire Rural Policing Team headed up the operation on Wednesday to target drivers of dangerous vehicles and criminals using the road network.
Vehicles were checked in a car park off the McDonald’s roundabout.
