Man Arrested After Windows Smashed In Market Harborough Town Centre

A man has been arrested after windows were smashed at shop and business premises in Market Harborough early this morning.
Tesco Metro on The Square and Lloyd’s Bank on Church Square were among two of the premises attacked.

Police were called to the Adam and Eve Street area just after 2.30am.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Police were contacted following a report of glass being smashed and concerns regarding a man in the area.
“Officers attended and a search of the area was carried out which led to a 19-year-old man, of Leicester, being arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
“Enquiries showed four commercial premises in the area had windows smashed.
“No-one was reported to be in the premises at the time.”

Crime scene investigators have been working in the town centre today as part of the Police enquiries.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them, quoting incident 22*68830.
