Plea To Conserve Water As Heatwave Continues

Severn Trent Water is asking people across Harborough to conserve water supplies by not using hosepipes or sprinklers, as the heatwave continues this week.
It comes after the first hosepipe ban of the summer came into force, in Northern Ireland.
The company says having showers instead of baths is another good way of helping to save water.
The continued hot spell has put a strain on water companies, which have been pumping millions of extra litres into their systems.
