People Feeling Cold Urged To Use Local Warm Spaces

People struggling to keep warm because of energy costs are being urged to use the local network of ‘warm hubs’ during the cold snap.

A number of warm spaces have been set up in response to the cost of living crisis, including several libraries and churches, with some also offering free food and drinks:

• Harborough Leisure Centre
• Desborough Library (free hot refreshments on Wednesdays and Fridays.
• Market Harborough Congregational Church (11am – 3pm every Thursday with free soup and hot drinks)
• Market Harborough Baptist Church (10am – 1pm every Monday)
• Lutterworth Sports Centre
• Kibworth Community Library
• Fleckney Baptist Church
• Desborough Baptist Church
• Welcome Kitchen Kibworth – Kibworth Grammar School Hall – Monday 12:pm – 2pm
• St Cuthbert’s Church, Great Glen (Monday 12pm-3pm & Wednesday 12pm-3pm)
