Pensioner Jailed For Sex Attacks In Market Harborough

A pensioner’s been jailed for a string of sex attacks on a girl that started in Market Harborough nearly 50 years ago.
77-year-old Dennis Damon raped her at an address in the town in 1969 when she was aged just eight, and then went on to carry out further assaults over a seven year period.
The victim – now in her 50s – only recently came forward to Police.
Damon, of Nene Road, Higham Ferrers, has been found guilty of eight counts of rape and two of indecent assault at Leicester Crown Court – he’s been jailed for 16 years and placed on the sex offenders register for life.
