Over £5,000 Raised In First Week Of Poppy Appeal

The Royal British Legion in Market Harborough is thanking residents for their generosity after raising over £5,000 in the first week of this year’s Poppy Appeal.
Volunteers are continuing their efforts with a stall at Harborough Market and street collections.

Over 100 Union flags are flying across the town centre in support of the campaign, installed by Harborough District Council above shops and businesses.

Students from Welland Park Academy also showed their support yesterday, by volunteering to sell poppies during their lunch hour.
