Over 30 Tyres Dumped Beside Market Harborough Bypass

Over 30 tyres have been dumped at the side of the A6 Market Harborough bypass.
It is believed they were fly-tipped late last week in a lay-by close to the McDonald’s roundabout.

Harborough District Council’s Enviro-crime team has launched an investigation after being alerted by Councillor Phil Knowles, who spotted the mess.
The authority is arranging for the tyres to be removed and urging anyone with information is urged to contact them.
Cllr Jonathan Bateman, Harborough District Council’s Cabinet lead on environment and waste, said: “Fly-tipping such as this is totally unacceptable, and we will be removing these tyres and launching an investigation.
“We ask anyone with information about this incident to contact the Council by emailing tipoff@harborough.gov.uk”
