Opposition Mounts To Apartments Plan
Written by HFM News on 12th November 2021
Opposition is mounting to plans to create new apartments in Market Harborough town centre, which threatens the future of a café bar and charity’s base.
In just a few days, 57 people have lodged objections with Harborough District Council, mostly centred on the potential loss of popular independent hospitality venue Louisa’s Place.
The proposal for the former Post Office building on St Mary’s Road, would also affect the adjoining premises occupied by HFT – a charity for adults with learning disabilities.
The owner of the buildings has submitted a planning application to convert them into nine apartments.
