No Green Bin Collections This Week

Green bins won’t be emptied across Harborough this week.

The district council has stopped garden waste collections, so bin crews can catch-up with other collections, after they were suspended on Friday because of the snow.

A spokesperson said: “Our crews are now catching up with rounds, but to assist with this, we have suspended all garden waste collections to free-up the vehicles necessary to allow them to do this and maintain the usual household waste collection schedule.

“Affected households will receive an additional garden waste collection at the beginning of December, a week after collections usually stop.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
