New Planters For Market Harborough’s Floral Displays

Written by on 8th March 2022

Floral displays in Market Harborough will be looking extra special this summer in new wooden planters.

The 16 containers will replace some of the ageing blue plastic ones in the town centre.

They have been paid for by Harborough District Council, using money from the government’s Welcome Back Fund, which is helping High Streets recover from the impact of the pandemic.

Barbara Tallis from Market Harborough In Bloom told Hfm volunteers are looking forward to using them, when they are delivered in May:

Cllr Phil King, Leader of Harborough District Council said: “These planters will be a welcome addition to the town centre, and will replace the old ones.

“The Market Harborough in Bloom volunteers do a great job of keeping the displays looking nice, and I am sure the planters will add to the attractiveness of the town.”
