New Plans For Bowden Fencing Site
Written by HFM News on 17th December 2019
New plans have been announced to build a housing estate on the site of a fencing company in Great Bowden.
33 homes are earmarked for three acres of land off Leicester Lane, which has been home to Bowden Fencing and its saw-mill since the 1960s.
A previous similar plan was set to be turned down, although was withdrawn before it was considered.
Harborough Council planners had a number of concerns including the proposal going against the village’s Neighbourhood Plan and resulting in the loss of land in commercial use.
A revised planning application has been handed to Harborough Council.
