New Golf Course Approval Paves Way For 1,200 New Homes

The go-ahead has been given for a new golf course to pave the way for over 1,000 new homes in the north of the Harborough District.
Councillors last night approved plans for it to be created on farmland off Gaulby Lane in Houghton on the Hill and be the new home for Scraptoft Golf Club.
The club is set to vacate its current site to make-way for the major ‘Scraptoft North’ development, which will include 1,200 houses.
A separate planning application for that scheme is set to be considered by Harborough District Council later this year.
