New CCTV Set To Be Switch-On In Kibworth

CCTV is set to switched-on in Kibworth Beauchamp later this month.

The move, aimed at helping combat crime and anti-social behaviour, will initially see a network of six cameras installed in and around the centre of the village, with plans for more in the future.

The pictures will be linked to Harborough Council’s central monitoring centre in Market Harborough, where they’ll be watched round-the-clock.

Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council is funding the move – costing just over £13,000 – using cash provided by developers who have built in the village.

It’ll be the first time there will be public CCTV in the village, where problems with anti-social behaviour were widely reported last year.
