New Bid To Boost Tourism

A new bid to boost tourism in the Harborough District will start tonight.

Over 50 business representatives from the tourism sector will gather at the Nevill Holt Opera House for the launch of the new Visit Harborough website and colourful guide.

Harborough Council is behind it all – it is estimated tourism brings over £125m in the local economy each year and provides over 1,700 full time jobs.

The authority has brought the promotion of tourism back in-house after an outside firm was employed for it.
