New Appeal After Cyclist Injured In Crash

Police have issued a new appeal for information after a cyclist was injured in a crash with a car driver near Market Harborough last week.

The rider, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening following the collision on the B6047 Harborough Road.

It involved the pushbike and a grey Volkswagen Passat and happened just before 10.15pm last Wednesday (Feb 5th) between the McDonald’s roundabout and the Leicester Lane/Gallow Field Road crossroads.

PC Ryan Buckland, from Leicestershire’s Roads Policing Unit said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident but who has not yet spoken to police.

“I’d like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or either vehicle beforehand – or who has dashcam footage of the incident. Anything you can provide could help.”
