Desborough’s new Sainsbury’s supermarket has opened today.

The £10m store off Harborough Road has created 40 jobs and is the first new supermarket in the town for decades.

MP for Kettering Philip Hollobone joined staff, customers and local councillors to cut the ribbon and celebrate the 11,000 sq. ft. store’s launch

Councillor David Howes has worked with Sainsbury’s during the planning and construction of the store and told HFM residents are delighted, as previous plans for new supermarkets in the town came to nothing.
