MP Praises Hospital Staff After Birth Of Son

Harborough MP’s has called staff at Leicester General Hospital ‘amazing’ following the birth of his son.

Neil O’Brien says they went ‘above and beyond’ to give baby Arthur the best possible start in life and care for his wife.

He said “My wife and I are incredibly grateful to the really dedicated, kind, and hard-working staff at Leicester General. Despite having a huge number of emergencies to deal with the day our son was born they looked after us really well and give my little baby boy the best possible start in life. They really went above and beyond and people worked all day without a break to help fit in people like us, and we are really grateful.

“While we were lucky to have wonderful help from such great staff, it’s also reinforced for me why we need to get the maternity services at the Royal infirmary and the General merged into a single new modern maternity hospital as soon as possible.”
