Written by on 20th February 2026

A calf born six days after its twin on a farm near Market Harborough is being hailed as a miracle.

Delayed twin births in cattle are extremely rare, thought to occur in only around one in 200,000 cases.

The mother was initially confused by the appearance of a second calf, but with careful help from the team at Brook Meadow Farm in Sibbertoft, she has now accepted both calves and they are feeding happily side by side.
