Over 100 schoolchildren have raised over £800 to help the aid effort in Ukraine by holding a sponsored walk around Market Harborough.
The youngsters from St Joseph’s Catholic Academy made posters and pictures to hold up during the walk today and some held the country’s flag.

Together with school staff, they also collected money for the continued aid effort in Ukraine during the walk, which took in the town centre and Welland Park.
Younger children did a sponsored walk around the school field and a coffee afternoon was also held today to boost the fundraising further.
Today’s fundraising event raised £865, which is on top of £466 raised by a cake sale at the school a few weeks ago.
All money raised is going to the CAFOD Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
