Market Harborough SwiMarathon To Make A Big Splash

Market Harborough’s annual SwiMarathon fundraiser is returning this March.
Over 20 teams have already signed up to be part of the big event at Harborough Leisure Centre and there is still the chance for others to do the same.
The fun event organised by Market Harborough Rotary Club and supported by HFM will beheld over the weekend of March the 2nd and 3rd.

Is suitable for all ages, with teams of up to six people swimming in a relay for around 50 minutes, with workmates, business colleagues, school groups, youth organisations, sports clubs, families and friends all able to enter.
Teams are sponsored and local businesses are also supporting the event, which since it launched has raised over £80,000 for local good causes and Rotary Club projects.
Last year, some £10,000 was raised thanks to 140 swimmers across 28 teams. Each team had one lane of the pool for 50 minutes to swim in relay.

Prizes are given for the best team name among other awards and prize-winners and people awarded grants are invited to a presentation evening.
