Market Harborough Sea Cadets Celebrate Rare National Double

Market Harborough Sea Cadets are celebrating a rare double success at national level.

The unit has received a Captain Sea Cadets’ Commendation for the second year running and has also secured its twelfth consecutive Burgee — the Sea Cadet equivalent of an Outstanding Ofsted rating.

The annual Unit Review highlighted outstanding achievements in waterborne training, with cadets exceeding national expectations for boating hours and earning qualifications across rowing, sailing, paddlesports, windsurfing, and powerboating.

The 60-strong unit also achieved excellent standards in drill and ceremonial, with cadets representing TS Fernie at district and area events throughout the year.
