A Market Harborough man has admitted burgling homes of two elderly people in Rothwell after tricking his way in.

William Wallace called at the house of a 90-year-old man in Moorfield Road late at night, claiming he owed him money and targeted a 78-year-old woman, saying she needed work doing on the roof of her house in High Hill Avenue.

Both incidents happened on June 29th and the 49-year-old then entered the homes and stole items.

Wallace, of Leicester Road, pleaded guilty to burglary at Northampton Crown Court and will be sentenced next month.
