Market Harborough Firm Bought By Competitor

A long-standing Market Harborough manufacturing company has been bought by a competitor.
Nomad Cases has been acquired by Absolute Casing for an undisclosed fee.
The Nomad name will be retained along with its base off Rockingham Road, which employs 29 people.

Both firms supply protective flight cases to various sectors and Ed Franklin, Managing director of Absolute Castings, said: “There is a lot of synergy between Absolute Casing and Nomad Cases in terms of what we do and who we supply and so when Nomad’s owner was considering retirement, we were keen to explore the opportunity.
“We had worked together before on certain projects and I knew Absolute Casing would be a good home for its customers and staff.”
Nomad launched in 1961 and Technical Manager Lisa McLean has just been recognised for her 40 year’s service, after starting working for the firm in 1984, aged 17.
