Market Harborough Church Unveils Plans To Create New Community Space

A Market Harborough church is set to make major changes so it can be used more by the community.
The plan would see the interior of St Hugh’s Church, on the corner of Northampton Road and Granville Street, split into two, with a large space created for community use in one half of it.
The project will cost around £800,000 and the church plans to sell the adjoining church hall to help fund the work.

A new kitchen and accessible toilets will be installed at the church as part of the upgrade and a smaller room created for smaller groups to meet.
Local people are being asked their views before plans are finalised and Rev Alison Iliffe, the vicar at St Hugh’s, spoke to HFM about them:
