Man Sentenced After Armed Police Deployed In Market Harborough

A Market Harborough man has been sentenced for weapons offences.
Lee Ostler admitted possession of an unloaded air rifle and bladed article in a public place after armed police were called to Gladstone Street on November 21st last year, following reports of someone with a ‘rifle’.

The 50-year-old, who lives in the street, appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court for sentencing, having previously pleaded guilty to both offences.
He was handed a community order, requiring him to carry out drug rehabilitation activities.
The court also ordered that the air rifle and bladed article be disposed of.
