Man Released on Bail Following Serious Assault in Desborough

A man arrested after a teenager was seriously injured in an assault in Desborough has been released on bail.
The 23-year-old was taken into custody following an incident on High Street shortly after 5am yesterday.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to Kettering General Hospital with serious injuries, although police say they are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. An 18-year-old man also suffered cuts and bruises during the incident.
Police cordoned off part of High Street near the junction with Rothwell Road while officers carried out investigations.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and has now been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Detectives are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage from the area to come forward.
