Man Jailed For Sex Attack At House In Market Harborough

A man been jailed for two years and four months for sexually assaulting a woman in her home in Market Harborough.

Phillip George, 42, also attacked a female Police officer, who was the first on the scene of the incident, kicking her in the back of the head as she arrested him, and spat at another officer who arrived to help.

George, of no fixed abode, but formally of Market Harborough, pleaded guilty at Leicester Crown Court to sexual assault and two counts of assaulting emergency workers on June 30th this year.

The judge at Leicester Crown Court publicly commended the bravery of the female officer, for tackling George single-handedly and helping the victim, before back-up arrived.

He was also given a restraining order banning future contact with the victim.
