Man Given Suspended Sentence After Market Harborough Crash

A man has been given a suspended prison sentence after a woman was seriously injured in a crash in Market Harborough.
The two-car collision happened on Lubenham Hill just after 5.20am on November 24th last year.
Emergency services attended the scene and firefighters were required to free one person who had become trapped in a vehicle.

Simon Paine, of West Street in Welford, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The 52-year-old was sentenced to 20 months in prison, suspended for two years, at Leicester Crown Court yesterday.
He was banned from driving for two years and six months, ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the community and pay £1,500 in compensation to the other driver.
Paine will also have to pass an extended re-test before he can drive again.
