Man Denies Causing Death of Young Father in A5199 Crash

A man has denied causing the death of a young father and seriously injuring three other people by dangerous driving following a crash in Husbands Bosworth.
Jordan Green, who was 29, died after the collision between a Vauxhall Corsa and a Vauxhall Vivaro van on the A5199 Welford Road in March 2024.
Samuel Wickham, 22, of Sandhurst Road in Leicester, is accused of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges at Leicester Crown Court and is now set to face a trial.
Jordan Green died after the collision
Mr Green from Leicester was a rear-seat passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa when the collision happened near the junction with Station Road.
He was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
At the time, his family described him as “an amazing Daddy to his two little girls” and someone “who would light up a room when he’d walk into it.”
