A man has appeared in Court accused of a stabbing in Broughton Astley in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
James Green, 31, of no fixed address, is charged with wounding/causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article.
He did not enter a plea during the brief appearance at Leicester Magistrates and was remanded in custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court next month.
He was arrested after police were called to Main Street when a 47-year-old man was found collapsed after being stabbed – he has since been released from hospital.
