Man Charged After Crash On A6 Near Market Harborough

Police have charged a man with several driving offences after a crash on the A6 near Market Harborough yesterday morning.

Carlos Mabanzila, 28,  of Oxford Street, Walsall, is charged with drink driving, failing to stop at a road traffic collision, driving while disqualified, driving without due care and attention, failing to report a road traffic collision and driving with no insurance.

He was arrested at The Point Business Park off Rockingham Road just before 11.30am, following a collision on the stretch of the A6 between Desborough and Market Harborough, and will now appear before court.

Leicestershire Police say they initially responded to reports a car had failed to stop for officers in Northamptonshire.

Officers also seized the car.
