Man Arrested on A14 After Teens Raped On Beach

A man has been arrested on the A14 near Welford in connection with the rape of two teenage girls in Great Yarmouth.

Police were called to a beach in the Norfolk town during the early hours of Saturday morning, following reports the girls had been attacked.

A man in his 30s was arrested the following day after police stopped a vehicle near junction one.

He was questioned on suspicion of rape and has subsequently been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Norfolk Police say a second suspect remains outstanding and significant efforts are underway to identify and locate him.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information which could assist the investigation to come forward.
