Man Arrested After Market Harborough Shop Raid

Police have arrested a man after a burglary at a shop in Market Harborough during which stock worth thousands of pounds was stolen.

The 29-year-old from Leicester is being questioned by detectives about the raid at Armcandy Bag Co on Adam and Eve Street, in the early hours of October 21st.

The stolen items were recovered by Police after a car used by the intruders crashed near Kibworth.

The occupants had fled on foot.

Police are continuing to appeal for information and Sergeant Pete Jelbert said: “I’m pleased someone has been arrested in connection with this incident and our enquiries are continuing.

“Therefore I’d ask anyone with information who has not yet come forward to do so. Any details you’re able to provide could help.”
