Man Arrested After Drive Dies Following Motorway Crash

A 41-year-old man from Warwickshire has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a crash on the M6 in Leicestershire.
Police were called to a report of a collision on the southbound carriageway, near junction 1, just after 4.30am on Friday (14 October).
It involved a black BMW 5 Series, which was travelling south on the northbound carriageway, and a blue Nissan Juke.
The two occupants of the Juke, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 60s, were taken to hospital with serious injuries and the man sadly died as a result of his injuries on Sunday.
The woman remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Detectives are still appealing for anyone with information about the collision, but who has not yet come forward, to do so.
