Man Arrested After Armed Robbery At Market Harborough Shop

A man has been arrested after an armed robbery at a Market Harborough convenience store.
The 39-year-old, from Market Harborough, is being questioned by Police on suspicion of robbery, following the incident at the Spar Shop on Coventry Road on Monday night.
Two men entered the shop at around 7.50pm and threatened staff with knives, before stealing a quantity of cigarettes.
No-one was injured, although the staff were left shaken.
The robbers made off in a grey hatchback type vehicle towards Farndon Road.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
