Man Appears in Court Over Alleged Sexual Offences at HMP Gartree

A man has appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court accused of committing sexual offences at HMP Gartree near Market Harborough.

Eugene Riordan, 44, denied all charges, which include two counts of exposure, one count of sexual assault on a female, and one count of assault on an emergency worker.

The alleged incidents reportedly occurred in February and April 2025.

Riordan, whose address is listed as HMP Manchester, entered not guilty pleas to all charges.

The case has been adjourned for a further hearing next month.
