Man Admits Stealing Lorry Trailer Containing Make-Up Worth £86,000

A man has admitted stealing a lorry trailer containing children’s make-up products worth £86,000 from a business park in Lutterworth.
Stephen Richards was seen attaching it to a lorry cab and driving off from the Trout Transport compound in Bilton Way in the early hours of May 24th.
The eye-witness alerted Police and he was arrested 30 minutes later, when the vehicle was stopped on the A5 near the Warwickshire border.
Richards, 35, of Britannia Road, Wolverhampton, has appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to theft, driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence and driving without insurance.
He will be sentenced at Leicester Crown Court next month.
