Man Admits Causing Death in Lutterworth Crash While Disqualified

A man who had been disqualified from driving has admitted causing a crash that killed a young woman and seriously injured three others near Lutterworth.
Jack Reape, 31, appeared at Leicester Crown Court yesterday, where he pleaded guilty to five offences including causing death by dangerous driving and causing death while disqualified.
Eighteen-year-old Chloe Pearson from Castleford in West Yorkshire died two days after the collision on the A426 at Cotesbach, while her twin sister Abigale was left seriously injured.
They had been travelling in a Citroen C3 being driven by Reape.

The collision happened at around 8.30pm on Friday, December 15, 2023, when the Citroen collided with a Mercedes CLK. The two occupants of the Mercedes also suffered serious injuries.
Reape, of Townley Road in Wakefield, also admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The case has been adjourned for a psychiatric report, with sentencing due in July.
