Lutterworth To Get New Police Base

Police are to start using a new base at Lutterworth Sports Centre.
It follows pressure from residents who have been calling for an increased presence in the town, following the closure of the Police Station six years ago.
Everyone Active, who operate the sports centre, say they have offered the office space for now charge.
A spokesman from Leicestershire Police said: “An arrangement has been made for officers to use a room at Lutterworth Leisure Centre.
“It is hoped they will be able to start using the room later this month.
“The room will not be accessible on a 24/7 basis, but will allow officers to carry out administrative duties from a base in the town.”
