‘Letters To Heaven’ Postbox Installed At Great Glen Crematorium

A memorial postbox has been installed at Great Glen Crematorium so people can send letters and cards to lost loved ones.

The ‘Letters To Heaven’ initiative is the brainchild of a nine year old girl, who wanted to keep in touch with her grandparents after they died.

Hundreds of letters were posted in the first week of a box being placed at her local crematorium in Nottinghamshire and now owner Westerleigh is now rolling out the idea to all its sites nationwide.

Aleksandra Harris, Site Manager at Great Glen Crematorium, said: “Having seen the response to the first memorial post box at Gedling Crematorium, I am pleased to have started the national installation project on behalf of Westerleigh Group here at Great Glen, enabling our bereaved communities to have access to this wonderful asset too.”
