Major work to improve Harborough Leisure Centre is progressing at pace.
The ageing ‘dome’ in the grounds has been removed and a new more modern structure is starting to go up, which will be used for tennis and netball sessions.

Meanwhile, the swimming pool which has been closed since last month will re-open in two weeks’ time, as work to replace poolside tiles and revamp changing rooms nears completion.
Other work, including extending the gym, is continuing at the centre operated by Everyone Active and the revamp set to be fully completed in November.
The improvements are part of investment totalling nearly £6m into leisure centres in Harborough and Lutterworth by Harborough District Council.
