Kibworth’s Foodbank Can Now Help More People

The foodbank in Kibworth can now help more people in need after joining forces with one in Wigston.

It was launched as a temporary service the start of the pandemic by The Well community hub, but became permanent as demand increased.

The facility, run by volunteers, has now become part of Leicester South food bank, which is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks across the country.

Andy Wright is operations manager at The Well and spoke to HFM’s Nick Shaw:

If you need to access food bank support, you should contact Citizens Advice on 0808 208 2138.

If you are already being supported by an agency such as health or social care services, a family support worker, outreach worker, school etc, they can make a referral on your behalf. To find out more, go to www.leicestersouth.foodbank.org.uk/get-help.
