Kibworth Dancer’s Group Just Miss Out On BGT Final

A Kibworth teenager and his dance group have just missed out on a place in the final of Britain’s Got Talent, despite last night’s performance being described as ‘stunning’ and moving the judges to tears.

13-year-old Charlie Cufflin and the Phoenix Boys were placed in the top three, but lost out to Northamptonshire choir, ‘Northants Sing Out’, when the public vote decided which second act would progress to Sunday’s final after the judges vote was tied.

Despite not making it through, the group impressed as they performed a moving dance piece to Sam Ryder’s, ‘You’re the voice’, with the background saying “You’re the Voice” and “We are the voices of the future”.

The boys received a standing ovation from the judges, with Bruno Tonioli  looking visibly moved.

He said: “What can I say I felt like I was in heaven surrounded by angels. That was so beautiful and inspiring. The choreography was superb, your choreographer did a fantastic job. I am so proud of you. I am speechless, brilliant…brilliant.”

The group say they have achieved their aim of giving boys a voice and a place in the dance industry.

Northants Sing Out are hoping to be the first choir to win the competition.
