Kibworth Dancer Into Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Final

A talented teenage dancer from Kibworth has booked a place in the semi-finals of TV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Charlie Cufflin, 13, is a member of dance company Phoenix Boys, who received the ‘golden buzzer’ during their audition screened on Saturday, after impressing former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli.

Charlie, a former pupil at Kibworth Primary School, now attends performing arts school The Hammond in Chester and is one of 37 members of the group, made-up of dancers from across the UK.

Charlie, who also dances at Caroline Carr studios in Kibworth, will now head to London this weekend, to join the rest of the group ahead of next week’s semi finals, which will be screened live on ITV.

The audition was filmed in January at the London Palladium and Charlie and his family had to stay tight-lipped about it until the episode aired on Saturday.
