Joules Swings To Profit Thanks To Online Sales Boost
Written by HFM News on 4th August 2021
Market Harborough-based fashion retailer Joules has returned to annual profit thanks to surging online sales during the pandemic.
They increased by 48% to £122m in the year to 30 May, which now account for more than three-quarters of all retail revenues.
Sales through stores and public events fell from £63.2m to £36.6m as lockdowns forced the closure of these channels for much of the year, but the annual results show full-year pre-tax profits of £2m, against losses of £24.8m the previous year.
The firm now has 133 stores across the UK.
