The chief executive of one of Market Harborough’s biggest employers – Joules – is set to step down after eight years.

Colin Porter will leave the fashion retailer to retire within the next year.

The announcement comes after Joules, which employs 400 people at its head office bases at The Point Business Park, continued to defy the gloom on the High Street by posting increases in both revenue and profit.

Mr Porter said: “Since joining Joules in 2010 the company has grown significantly. This reflects the strength of the brand and the skill and commitment of the entire team across the business.”

Joules is currently re-developing Compass House on Rockingham Road, which will become its new HQ.
