Jobs Saved & Bookings Guaranteed After Sale Of Hothorpe Hall Completed

The future of a wedding and entertainment venue near Theddingworth has been secured, after a £3.5m deal to buy it was completed.
It safeguards 36 jobs and all existing bookings at Hothorpe Hall, with the new owners planning to reopen the site in line with the government’s ‘roadmap out of lockdown’.
The previous operator collapsed into administration in December due to the impact of the pandemic, although administrators received huge interest in the 55-bedroom venue, receiving nearly 500 offers to buy it.
The business has been sold to a new company Hothorpe Hall (Venues) Limited, part of the KCT Group.
Yasmin Bhikha, Director at FRP and Joint Administrator, said: “The reopening of the UK economy after lockdown couldn’t come soon enough for venues like Hothorpe Hall, which have been hard hit by the pandemic.
“Now, armed with fresh investment and a new ownership team, the venue is gearing up to open its doors once again and welcome guests. We’re thrilled for all the team and its returning staff and wish them all the best.”
